A SUBTITLED INTERROGATION

 

 

 

A room in the police station. It’s almost bare.

Nana’s declaration scene.

The room resembles other film sets

For example the chamber where, later, Nana will undress while talking.

 

The typewriter room.

Nana repeats herself like a machine that sub-titles what one writes.

Everyone hears her speak clearly on the air.

An employee repeats her statement sentence by sentence.

 

She doesn’t say that she tried to steal.

She says that she didn’t try to steal.

She says it and it’s clear.

Only the letters smudge a little. 15 minutes. No one paid.
